“Open Window” scent? Not even close. The scent in these is suffocating! The pads clean well but the smell is horrific and way too strong. I did my floors a full 24 hours ago and I still can’t be in the room I used them in without getting a headache. Why not offer an unscented or naturally scented product? I don’t want to pollute the air in my home during my cleaning routine!

Swiffer Mopping Cloths: Product ReviewI was introduced to these clothes when my family brought them home from Costco in 2017. At home, I was in charge of mopping the floor as my chores. The Swiffer Mopping Clothes were designed to pick up any dust or mess on the ground and clean any stains. The clothes are wet, smelling of a pleasant lemon smell as I lifted it from the box. The mops were also included with a harder edge which served to rid of hardened stains. The main strengths of this product is the quality of the cloth and the solution on the cloth. The quality is very good and helps me mop the toughest of stains up, without any rip or tear. This cloth is suited for rough mopping. The mop’s solution seems to be on par with the most basic of cleaners, but remains safe for everyone. This last strength is very important as I have a cat at home, and I do not want his nose to be hurt. These two strengths make the swiffer mop cloths shine out of every mop cloth company + brands. The weaknesses of this product is the solution on the cloth being easily dried. Now, this con is a double edged sword. It is good that the solution dries up quickly to prevent accidents, but it is also bad. As I finish mopping the kitchen, I am required to throw away the current cloth and use a new one due to the solution drying out extremely quickly. This causes major waste in materials and money. I hate mopping the floor smoothly only to find out the cloth has completely dried out and is obsolete. I am forced to use up the cloths quickly, which forces my family to buy even more clothes, fueling an endless circle. If the cloth was more soaked with solution, I would be more intent on purchasing it. Overall, I give this product a B-. The quality of the cloth and solution are very good compared to other brands and help me get the toughest messes out. However, I am not pleased with the cloth being easily dried out, as it causes waste. I think it is a hit or miss for the consumer. If you live in a smaller apartment, it would be efficient to use one cloth as it dries out at the end. IF you live in a bigger apartment or house, I do not recommend these unless you are willing to waste the money on frequent cloths.
Our home is predominantly hardwood, with tile bathrooms and linoleum kitchen. The fact that one product can clean all these without having to change is a plus. This is much easier than bucket mopping! This past weekend we had both visitors and a pollen festival: I hosed off our front porch and just finished Swiffering most of the house. These pads smell great, and the floor dries quickly! Just be sure to have plenty of pads and change them every room or two.
the wet pads are great, except they dry out every 10 feet. if i could return it i would, so now im just gonna have to buy another mopping product. the pads come out of the container soaking wet but if you want your floors consistently clean across the surface you'll need like 10 wet pads, or you have to keep getting them wet under the faucet to the point where theres not even any soap.
That's definitely unusual, Katie, and we're sorry to hear this. We'd absolutely like to do all we can to help with this, but we need a bit more information. Could you please call us at (800) 742-9220 when you have a moment to share?
We expect one pad to last a long ways, so we're disappointed to hear this! This certainly doesn't sound like the experience we want for you, since our products have gone through lots of testing to make sure they're effective and make cleaning a breeze. We'd like to look into this further to see how we can help, if you'll give us a call at: (800) 214-8734
Please, please, and please again. I have been waiting and waiting for UNSCENTED sheets. I finally came to your site to see if progress is being made only to see that others too are waiting for unscented. The scented wet cloths are simply overpowering. For years I have purchased cleaning products unscented. I have to rinse these before I use them. How silly is this?!
The last thing we want is for the scent of your cleaning products to overpower you, so we'll be sure to let our team know you'd like to see an unscented version come available! We appreciate your input, and hope you'll give us a call at: (800) 214-8734 if you'd like to share more!
I buy these wipes at Costco frequently and have always had good luck. The last box I bought has been sub par at best. Cloths are very thin, don’t stay in the swiffer, and don’t clean well at all and I have to use twice as many. Very disappointed. Gave 2 stars because you can’t even contact P&G about theproblem unless you are the media or want to begin selling their product.
You should always expect the best from the Swiffer cloths, so we're disappointed to hear that wasn't the case this time. We'd like to chat, and make sure your floor is left sparkling. When you have a chance, please reach out to us at (800) 214-8734.
